‘Homestory Deutschland’ needs support!
You can preorder the catalogue to the exhibition ›Homestory Deutschland‹ in English:
›Homestory Deutschland‹ is an exhibition of Black biographies in historical and present times. It’s described as “a collective self-portrait“. A German version of the catalogue – which is a joint project with the Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland (ISD Bund) e.V. – is already available. The catalogue “revives the interactive experience of the exhibition. As a parallel to the turning of the panels, an action that requires visitors to physically interact with the exhibition, the pages of the catalogue need to be separated in order that the personal stories contained within them can become visible.”
The catalogue contains biographical portraits of:
Anton Wilhelm Amo, Ekpenyong Ani, Olumide Popoola, Theodor Wonja Michael, Bärbel Kampmann, Jean-Pierre Felix-Eyoum, Hans Hauck, Stephen Lawson, Billy Mo, Ama-Pokua von Pereira, Fasia Jansen, Nisma Cherrat, Mike Reichel, Gabriela Willbold, Kofi Yakpo, El Loko, Otto Addo, Fatima El-Tayeb, Henriette Alexander, May Ayim, Onejiru, Ria Cheatom, Sunday E. Omwenyeke, Martin Dibobe, Peggy Piesche, Carl Camurça and Austen Peter Brandt
As part of the Witnessed book series the catalogue in English will only be published if 350 people preorder the book.
So please do if you are interested in its publication. (All infos taken from http://www.edition-assemblage.de/homestory-deutschland/.)
